The Rescued Pup Is ready to find his new home!

"Phoenix is a pit-bull/cross puppy that was rescued in April.
Amazingly his facial scars seem to be his only ones.  He has no malice in his heart.  He is energetic, playful, loving and extremely friendly and sweet.  He is about 7months old and has the true heart of a puppy.  Due to his past, he will need the perfect home.
1. He will need a large fenced in yard (he loves to run and he can climb a fence so it must be steady, invisible fencing probably won’t work)
2. He needs someone with a lot of time and patience. Play is a big part of his life. He can fetch and return balls, play with Frisbees (we are working on catching them in flight) and loves a good game of you can’t catch me!
3. Small children probably not a good idea.
4. He does get along with dogs and cats. Because he is high energy,  they usually don’t get along with him.
5. It would be a very good idea for anyone interested in him to become knowledgeable on pit-bulls.  They truly are a breed among themselves.  I found watching the program “Pit Bulls and Parolees” an amazing help with understanding my own boy. I describe owning a pit as “I protect my dog from people… not people from my dog!”  With new laws against them being made every day and horror stories on the news, they are one of the most racially profile animals in the United States.
All in all it will be very hard for me and my family to give him up but I just can’t keep him.  I know he will be the best friend you will ever have if you take him home.  But just a warning I am going to ask to do a home check and want to do a follow up.  I have seen the torture he has endured and the amazing heart for forgiveness he has and will never let him have anything other than the very best.  He deserves it."
